Waialua river meets the sea

The island of Molokai encompasses 260 square miles of natural beauty with awesome sea cliffs that rise more than 3,000 feet above the coastline on the north, the longest white sand beach in Hawaii, and the most intact ancient fish ponds.

  • Stargaze: you can see the Milky Way on low  moon nights
  • Snorkel and sun at Waialua’s 20 mile beach

  • Fish off the rocks, from shore or spear fish while free diving
  • Whale watch (December – May)

  • Golf at historic Ironwoods (9 holes) or coastal Kalua Koi (18 holes)
  • Guided historical hikes to Hipuapua and Moa’ula Falls in Halawa Valley
  • Hike Kamakou Preserve (4-wheel drive access, ask Nature Conservancy)
  • Take a ferry trip to Maui (Lahaina) for the day
  • Sip coffee and tour the Molokai Coffee Plantation in Kualapu’u
  • Learn about and taste macadamia nuts at Purdy’s Macadamia Nut Farm
  • Buy artwork from Molokai artists at Kamakana Galleries in Kaunakakai
